Make thick and rich buttermilk at home with New England CheeseMaking Company's Buttermilk Cultures. This pack of 5 butter milk cultures can be used with skim or whole milk. It is recommended that you use a local milk that is not ultra-pasteurized. Each package of buttermilk culture will product 1-2 quarts of buttermilk. To make buttermilk heat milk to 72ºF. Then add in 1 packet to the milk and let it rehydrate for 1-3 minutes. Stir in to dissolve and let set 12 to 24 hours.
