Grilled Chicken Tenders

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water

  • ½ cup soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 (16 ounce) package boneless, skinless chicken tenders

Description

  1. Whisk water, soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, brown sugar, and garlic together in a large glass or ceramic bowl. Add chicken tenders and toss to evenly coat. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.

  2. Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat and lightly oil the grate.

  3. Remove chicken from marinade and shake off excess. Discard remaining marinade.

  4. Place on the preheated grill; reduce heat to low. Grill for 1 minute; flip and grill until no longer pink in centers and the juices run clear, 4 to 6 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into centers should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
