Rich and Delicious Banana Bread
This is an old family recipe for banana bread without eggs that is requested frequently by the children. It's rich and delicious, and it's so simple to make.

½ cup shortening

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

3 medium ripe bananas

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Lightly grease an 8x4-inch loaf pan.

Beat sugar and shortening with an electric mixer in a mixing bowl until creamy. Sift in flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix in mashed bananas. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
