Hawaiian Pizza Sliders
Hawaiian pizza sliders are a great party slider if you are looking for something different. The combination of the sweetness of the pineapple and the salty ham and bacon plays very well together.
Ingredients
-
2 slices bacon
-
1 (12-ounce) package Hawaiian sweet rolls, split
-
1/2 cup pizza sauce
-
6 ounces sliced deli ham
-
1 (8-ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained well
-
2 tablespoons finely chopped red onion
-
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
-
1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper
-
3 tablespoons butter, melted
-
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
-
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
-
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
Description
- Gather all ingredients. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
-
Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned and crisp, about 10 minutes. Drain bacon slices on paper towels. Crumble when cool enough to handle.
-
Place roll bottoms in a 13x9-inch baking pan or dish. Spread with pizza sauce.
-
Top with ham, pineapple, bacon, red onion, mozzarella cheese, and crushed red pepper.
-
Place roll tops over the filling. Combine butter, oregano, and garlic powder in a small bowl. Brush roll tops with the butter mixture. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and cover pan with foil.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake until cheese is melted and tops are golden brown, 5 to 10 minutes.
