Kale and Pear Salad with Sesame Ginger Dressing

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup canola oil

  • 3 tablespoons seasoned rice vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil

  • 2 teaspoons less-sodium tamari or soy sauce

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

  • 8 cups chopped kale

  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds

  • 1 cup sliced pear

Description

  1. Shake together canola oil, vinegar, toasted sesame oil, tamari, garlic, and ginger in a canning jar for the dressing.

  2. Put kale in a large bowl; pour dressing over kale, reserving 1 to 2 tsp. in jar. Massage kale until wilted, about 3 minutes. Add sesame seeds; toss. Top with pear and drizzle with reserved dressing.
